Cedar Ridge Academy is a Drama Free Environment

By Cedar Ridge Academy

Cedar Ridge Academy has sought to enact policies that provide an atmosphere of safety and calm. Cedar Ridge Academy is a therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens. This means that a calm, recuperative environment is even more essential than at many other schools. The values of Cedar Ridge Academy are concurrent with the notions of healing, acceptance, recovery and health. In order to stridently affirm these values and ensure their paramount preservation, Cedar Ridge Academy has put into place a number of new policies.

Cedar Ridge Academy Provides Solutions

The problems that arise from trying to maintain a school campus for teenagers while also preserving an atmosphere of calm and healing have led Cedar Ridge Academy to enact policiy solutions that help the students find opportunities for further wellness. Cedar Ridge Academy examined its own policies to determine if there was any way they could be strengthened to further ensure student safety and preserve the desired on-campus atmosphere.  Cedar Ridge Academy now conducts annual background screenings of all of its employees. Conducting these screenings not just at the date of hire, but throughout the duration of the employee's employment at Cedar Ridge Academy ensures that all faculty are living up to the high standards embodied by the school's value structure.

Cedar Ridge Academy Takes an Adaptive Approach

Cedar Ridge Academy has determined that the most efficient and effective policy plan is to periodically examine policies and internal operations to make sure that the school is running at its optimum potential. Being adaptive means proactively looking for opportunities to improve by embracing the challenges that a dynamic school environment poses. By absorbing change and strengthening response based upon challenges, Cedar Ridge Academy has made itself more prepared to face a broader array of challenges.
