Christian Boarding Schools for Troubled Teens in Rhode Island

In the state of Rhode Island there are three Christian boarding schools. All three boarding school options in the state are incredible academic institutions. There are more Christian boarding schools per capita in the state than any other State in the Union. However, for the RI parents of troubled teens there are no Christian boarding schools, and there are no other types of boarding schools for troubled boys or troubled girls. The parents of troubled teens must look to near by states for any type of boarding school option.

Christian Boarding Schools are committed to providing an atmosphere of corporate worship, small groups discipleship, and personal ministry opportunities. It is their goal to minister to the student body as a whole, as well as its individual members. The students will be living under a balanced philosophy and in most Christian schools will be expected to follow the daily routine, which is built around this philosophy. The "Balanced Life Philosophy" is based on the idea that the whole man must grow in fours areas: physical, social, mental and spiritual. Christian schools for troubled teens are not the same type of school as one would find at a traditional Christian boarding school.

The three Christian schools found in the state are Portsmouth Abbey School, in Portsmouth, RI, St. Andrew's School in Barrington, RI, and St. George's School in Newport, RI. Again, each one of these top boarding schools are incredible. There are no all girls boarding schools in Rhode Island, and there are no all boys boarding schools in Rhode Island either. All three boarding schools are co-ed. You won't find any therapeutic boarding schools in Rhode Island or any nearby state.
