Boarding Schools
Boarding schools for the troubled teens are the academic-based “boarding” schools where students reside during their enrollment. They live in a 24-hour supervised environment, 7 days per week. There are educational, emotional, and/or behavioral issues that go beyond the ability of the parent to handle.
Boarding schools for troubled teens have proven that the boarding program has a positive effect on the enrolled student. The time and investment in these schools may vary from one year to two years depending on the intensity of problems a teen is facing. Boarding schools for boys and girls are expensive. The main cost comes from the expense to supervise, feed, and house at risk kids 24-hours per day, 7 days per week. There usually is a psychological element also, with increases the cost. Most boarding schools for struggling teens are 12 to 18 months in duration.
