Group Homes for Troubled Teens - Troubled Teen Search
Group Homes for troubled teens are often private residences that are designed or sometimes converted to serve as a non-secure home for teens, often troubled teens, who share common traits. In America, group homes for troubled teens are often designed for those in need of financial assistance, and who cannot live alone or they need expert supervision.
Troubled Teens who live in group homes may be recovering alcoholics, recovering drug addicts, mentally disabled, physically and mentally abused or neglected as young boys or girls, teens with behavioral or emotional problems, and/or youths with criminal records. A group home for troubled teens differs from a halfway house in that it is not restricted to recovering addicts or convicted criminals, and also in that residents usually are encouraged or required to take an active role in the maintenance of the household, such as by performing chores or helping to manage a budget.
