Protecting Teenage Girls From Victimization | Trinity Teen Solutions

Trinity Teen Solutions is a faith based residential treatment center offering programs for troubled girls who need protecting from victimization.  We believe that all children would rather succeed than fail, and understand that the significance we all seek can be found in a personal relationship with God.  By teaching individualized programs of leadership, academic study, conformity to authority, fundamentals of building character, importance of sportsmanship and spirituality, our students will have a better chance to gradually master their trauma experiences, develop inner strength and courage and recognize that they have triumphed over abuse.  For more information, call Trinity Teen Solutions at 855-631-4424.
Many teenagers face victimization at home, in school, and in public places. They are about twice as likely to be assaulted, raped and robbed as any other age group.  Victimization at home may mostly include neglect and physical abuse, while victimization at school usually includes rape, sexual assault, robbery, and aggravated assault; and most of these do occur outside of school property in public places.  While boys are more likely to be victims of aggravated assault and robbery, girls are more likely to be victimized by rape.
Teenage Girls are Vulnerable to Victimization
The gender related crimes of rape, sexual assault, and domestic violence are often overlooked for teenage girls as they are thought to be crimes mostly committed against adults.  Since being a victim of these crimes carries such a stigma, there are vast differences in the number reported depending on the method of how the data is acquired.
Teenage girls are vulnerable to victimization in their homes, in schools, and on the streets.  Not protecting our teenagers as they make the transition to adulthood, sets them on a path toward a difficult future.  The main defense against future victimization is immediate protection, prevention and intervention.
Victimization often makes teenage girls feel helpless, powerless and embarrassed about the abusive actions thrown upon them, experiencing shame and guilt, re-traumatized by suspicion and doubt, feeling criticized as being somehow responsible for the abuse. They need loving support to help them make the transition from victim to survivor.  Trinity Teen Solutions can offer that loving support.  Parents, if your daughter has been victimized and needs a safe place to heal, please call 855-631-4434 to speak to our Admissions Counselor.
